Describe the appliance and the job
Include the fuel type, model if known, and whether the appliance is already disconnected. A wall oven may be supported and secured inside cabinetry; a range may have an anti-tip restraint. Neither detail should be discovered during loading.
Before pickup
- Remove cookware and loose items after the appliance has cooled.
- Identify gas, electric or dual-fuel connections.
- Arrange qualified disconnection where required.
- Share photos of cabinetry, mounting and the exit route.

Agree on the boundaries
Gas capping, hardwired electrical disconnection and cabinet changes are separate trade work unless expressly agreed with qualified personnel. Do not pull on an appliance that may still be connected or restrained.
What affects the estimate?
Freestanding access is different from lifting an oven from a cabinet opening. Model weight, steps, fragile surfaces and access to the loading point should be part of the assessment.

Stove & Oven Removal questions
Can a gas range be hauled while connected?
No appliance should be moved while connected to a gas supply. Arrange the appropriate disconnection before the move.
Is a cooktop the same job as a range?
A cooktop is installed in a counter and has a different scope. Describe it specifically and confirm whether its extraction is included.
Should I remove the oven door?
Use the model instructions and agree on preparation with the provider. Door assemblies can be heavy and removal is not necessary for every job.
